Insurance coverage
In most cases, the cost of an ultrasound-guided injection is covered for insured patients. We work with all private insurers. Your insurer may require pre-authorisation before the injection, and our admin team can help obtain approval if needed.
Conditions and limitations
A one-stop injection isn’t always possible — some conditions require additional imaging, such as X-ray or MRI, first. Before your appointment, Dr Masci will check whether a one-stop injection is suitable for you. We may occasionally delay or postpone a planned injection for medical reasons.
Find your injection by body part.
Click through to the injection-by-body-part directory to see whether an injection is an option for your specific condition — covering shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, hip and groin, knee, and foot and ankle.
Frequently asked questions about one-stop ultrasound-guided injections
What does the injection price include?
The fee covers the whole one-stop visit — consultation, diagnostic ultrasound, and the ultrasound-guided injection — not just the injection itself. The drug used (cortisone, hyaluronic acid, PRP, Arthrosamid) determines the price.
Why is Chelsea cheaper than the other clinics?
The listed prices apply at Chelsea, the most cost-effective of the clinics. The other London clinics have different self-pay charges, which we don’t always control. See clinic locations.
Will my insurance cover the injection?
Usually, yes. We work with all major insurers, though some require pre-authorisation first. Our admin team can help arrange approval.
Can I always have the injection on the first visit?
Often, but not always. Some conditions need further imaging (X-ray or MRI) before injecting, so the one-stop format isn’t suitable for everyone. Dr Masci checks beforehand.
