Published research and ongoing work

In addition to private practice, Dr Masci is actively involved in several published research projects.  Early on, his thesis on Low back pain in young, active athletes achieved a high distinction.  Throughout his career, he has written over 20 peer-reviewed papers.  In addition, he speaks at multiple international sports medicine conferences, including the Arsenal Football conference, the Barcelona Football conference and the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine.

His current professional activities include research and lecture partnerships with several organisations.  First and foremost, he conducts tendon research on behalf of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Imperial University, Queen Mary University and Brunel University.  Apart from this, Queen Mary University recognises him as an honorary lecturer, and he also teaches Sports and Exercise Medicine graduates at University College London.  Finally, he is actively involved in developing online musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided injection training.
